Can YOU name ten current events in science and technology?
Well, even if you can, our students couldn't. We developed this assignment after testing showed that very few students were aware of the world around them, specifically current events in science. After numerous ideas came and left, we were left with this...which we will present to you.
This site will hopefully provide you with a bit of background to the assignment, what we learned by testing it in the classroom, and where to go to start glogging with your students.
A little bit about us...
Patty Serwotki teaches Science at NBCHS. She lives in Meota with her husband, and enjoyed collaborating with Jenn on this project.
Jenn Climenhaga has taught at NBCHS as their teacher librarian since 2006. She lives in North Battleford with her husband and one year old son. Although her number one passion is books, she enjoys working with technology and really enjoyed being a part of the science 9 classroom for this project.
